Privacy policy

HumanR builds HR software for distributed operations, so we take handling personal data seriously — it's the core of what our product does. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect on this website, why, and what your choices are. It applies to humanr.online and to the demo accounts we provision from it. It does not cover data our customers manage inside their own HumanR systems — there, the customer is the data controller.

What we collect

When you request a demo, we ask for:

• Your name, work email address and company name (required).
• Your phone number, industry and company size (optional).

Alongside those answers we record how you arrived: the campaign parameters in the link you followed (utm_source and its companions, and advertising click ids such as gclid), the address of the page that referred you, and the first page of ours you landed on. That tells us which of our efforts actually reach people. If you accepted analytics, we also store the Google Analytics visitor id for that visit, so we can tell whether a demo request ever turned into someone logging in.

These details go to our own server, where they are kept as a record of your request until we no longer need them. This website itself is a set of static pages — it has no database and holds nothing you type.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how this site is actually used. It is the only third-party service on this site, and it runs only if you accept it. Until you choose, nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookie is set — refusing leaves the site working exactly as it does now.

If you accept, we record more than page views: which buttons and links you click, how far down a page you read, and how far you get through the demo form — that it was opened, that you started filling it in, that you submitted it, and whether it failed. We do this to find the places where the site is confusing or broken. None of it records what you typed.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets these cookies:

• _ga — tells repeat visits apart, expires after two years.
• _ga_* — keeps the current session together, expires after two years.

These record how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser — and that information is processed by Google. They do not tell us who you are, and we do not use them for advertising.

You can change your mind whenever you like: choose Cookie settingsat the bottom of any page. Turning analytics off deletes the cookies it set. We also remember your choice itself in your browser's local storage so we don't have to keep asking — that is not shared with anyone.

Separately, the demo application sets a session cookie when you log in. It is required for the login to work and does nothing else.

The login link in your demo email

The Log in to your demo button in the email we send you goes through humanr.onlinebefore forwarding you to the demo. That step lets us record that the link was clicked and when — which is how we know whether the demo we set up for you was ever actually opened. You end up in the same place either way, and we don't record anything about what you do once you are there.

This happens whether or not you accepted analytics cookies, because it is our own record of a service we sent you rather than something stored on your device. If you accepted analytics, we additionally tell Google Analytics that the click happened, using the visitor id from your original visit. If you didn't, nothing about the click leaves our servers.

How we use it

• To create your personal demo account and email you the login credentials.
• To follow up with you about your demo and answer your questions.
• To keep the demo request form safe from spam and automated abuse.

We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to mailing lists you didn't ask for.

The demo environment

Demo accounts open a demonstration company populated entirely with fabricated sample data — no real people, no real employee records. Demo accounts are read-only and the environment resets periodically. Please don't enter real personal data into the demo; anything you do enter may be wiped without notice at any reset.

Where it lives and how long we keep it

Demo requests are stored on our own server, and we email you a copy of your demo credentials. We keep the request for as long as we're in an active conversation with you about HumanR, and we periodically clear out stale requests and expired demo accounts. Our email provider processes your address for delivery only.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — including deactivating your demo account. Email hello@humanr.online and we'll handle it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and its "last updated" date. Significant changes will be flagged clearly here.
